SUBEB Train 2000 Teachers From 300 Primary Schools Across The State

Over two thousand teachers from three hundred primary schools in Lagos state have undergone training towards improving their skills in order to impact positively on their students.

The training is also to prepare them for the twenty first century challenges.

Chairman Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon. WAHAB ALAWIYE KING States this at the flag off of EKOEXCEL training programme held at CMS primary school complex in Bariga area of the stae.

He said the Program is in line with the THEME agenda of the BABAJIDE OLUSOLA SANWOOLU led administration.

According to him and I quite ” The EkoExcel Training program is one of the pillars of Governor SANWOOLU’s policy under Education and Technology with the aim of transforming the teachers with required skills to compete favorably with their peers globally”. End of quite.

The LASUBEB boss expressed delight that the training will bridge the gap noticed among the teachers

He said the second phase of the Program will hold in January and will involve 6000 teachers from 500 schools.

On low budgetary allocation to Education at the federal and state level Hon. WAHAB ALAWIYE KING noted that the Lagos ensure maximum us of esources among competing needs.

He said the state believes Education is for the public good and must be funded within the meagre resource a.

On what he is bringing to the table as LASUBEB Chairman he said efficiency will be the watchword adding permanent members will be given department to manage for smooth running of the body.

Comrade ORISAHEYI FELIX AKINWOLE who is the Head Teacher in Saint Agnes School, Maryland who thanked the Governor for the opportunity said it will turn around their lives for good.

He noted they were taught communication skills and self confidence to interract well with their students.

On her part one of the facilitators, MAFULO ASHORE explained that the aim of the training was to boost the morale of participants in building the future leaders of the nation.
